Recently I auditioned for the middle school play. I was not allowed to sing a song of my choice, but if I had, I would have chosen to sing Burn from the Hamilton soundtrack. It is perfect for my voice part (Soprano 2) and is in the middle of my range. It is also an emotional song. I love preforming it with all of the different emotions. It occurs after The Reynolds Pamphlet in Hamilton and is sung by Eliza Schuyler Hamilton. Any Hamilton fan is aware of all of the emotions and this song is one of the few in the soundtrack that has made people cry. Burn is the perfect song and I hope someday I can preform it for an audition.
